Car Auction in New Zealand

Webb's auction company is holding a classic car auction in New Zealand on March 22, 2011. Here are my favorite cars.

1983 Lola T165 / 70 Gullwing Cam Am

Estimate is NZ$150,000 - NZ$250,000 - ($110,000 - $184,000 US approximately)

I love these Lolas and they were serious competitors in their day. More here.

1979/80 Gurney Eagle Indy Car

Estimate is NZ$220,000 - NZ$320,000 - ($162,000 - $235,000 US approximately)

"This Dan Gurney built one of one machine, which took part in the 1980 Indianapolis 500 was driven by Mike Mosley. Now fully restored, its current configuration is set up for contemporary road racing with the Gurney-Eagle fuel-injected V8 producing 650hp." says Webb's.

Any Gurney Eagle is of interest. More here.

1963 Ferrari Lusso 250

Estimate is NZ$1,100,000 - NZ$1,400,000 - ($808,000 - $1,028,000 US approximately)

Only 23 right hand drive Lussos were produced – 21 survive today. This particular Lusso has been meticulously restored and has less than 17,100 original miles according to Webb's.

This looks like a special Lusso but the steering wheel is on the wrong side for me. More here.
